My name is Rhonda Brown. I’m from Lake Babine Nation in Burns Lake BC and live in Chilliwack. I was born and raised in Burns Lake and am very close with my family. I’ve worked with Shxw’ōwhámél since July 6, 2020, as the Housing Manager. My responsibilities include managing the housing portfolio, repairs and maintenance, planning the housing stock, accounts receivable (rent collection process), and managing the admin and maintenance staff. I also build relationships with vendors and contractors to ensure that services for the community are easily accessible. When I’m not working, I like to spend my time with my spouse and my family. Fun fact: I love the Vancouver Canucks and enjoy attending games.
My name is Dana Andrews, and I supervise three employees: Justin Kelly (Community Health Coordinator), Doug Llewellyn (Community Wellness Worker), and Virginia Williams (Homemaker). My goals are to: have clients either go back to employment with the help of other employment counselors or go back to school for training (post-secondary), have our Elders receive all the services needed for healthy living, have services provided for our Youth to give them a good start to independence, and to help people understand their barriers to seeking quality health services to improve their quality of life for themselves and their children.

I’ve worked with Shxw’ōwhámél since April 2014 as the Community Health Coordinator. My responsibilities include providing our community with the means to better ourselves mentally, physically, spiritually and emotionally. My name is Angie and I’m from Kanaka Bar Indian Band and I live in Chawathil First Nation. Growing up, I have fond memories of my late uncle Gary. He taught me a lot in my adolescent years including the yearly trips to pick Xsusem berries. I’ve worked with Shxw’ōwhámél since May 3, 2017. As the Receptionist, I have the best job ever. My responsibilities include: communicating with everyone through the phone, email, and offering in person assistance. When I’m not working, I like to keep myself motivated through sports as it brings family and friends together. Fun fact: You know that song from Billy Idol? Dancing with myself? That is so totally me.

Good day everyone, my name is Darren Jones. I represent the George/Jones Family. I grew up in Shxw'ōwhámél and lived here all my life. I've been off and on Si:yá:m Council since 2000. My Portfolios are Housing, Emergency Preparedness, and the one portfolio that has been keeping me busy the most, Band Administration. I work closely with the Admin staff to ensure we have a good working relationship between the community and the Siya:m. Family is everything to me. I have eight kids and two grandkids. Activities I enjoy the most are baseball, volleyball, and hunting. I've always shared what I've hunted with family and the community.

My name is Tonya Adolph. I’m from Shxw’ōwhámél and currently live in Seabird Island. I grew up in Seabird Island Band and lived in Shxw’ōwhámél for a short time. I was employed as the SFN Homemaker for our Elders between 2019-2020 and enjoyed hearing their stories. Since June 2021, I've worked for Shxw’ōwhámél as a Si:yá:m representing the Jones family. My responsibilities include being a voice for my family and looking out for the best interest of the community. When I’m not working, I like to tend to my plants and watch Baseball. Fun fact: I’m a Mudblood.

Éy swayel, Éyem Shxweli Shlali (Strong Spirited Woman) also known as Melody Andrews tel swíx Te litsel kwa Shxw’ōwhámél. Good day, my name is Melody Andrews. I am from Shxw’ōwhámél and represent the George/Kelly el sq’eq’otel (family). I hold the Si:yá:m (respected family leader) position. I previously held the position for 12 years ( from 1999-2011). I took a 10 year break to assist in teaching Decolonization, Outdoor Survival and Indigenous Women's Self Defence courses before being brought back into the community to take on the lead of Siya:mship in May (2021). I currently hold the following portfolios: Economic Development, Tyit Tribe, Media & Communication as well numerous committees. I’ve also been appointed to the Board of Directors for Shxw’ōwhámél Ventures GP. I am a mother of five children aged 13, 18, 20, 24, and 27 years old. I’ve fostered three children throughout the years and I’m currently in my third year of homeschooling my youngest child. I’m also in my third year of learning halq’eméylem and land-based learning of traditional medicines and living off the land. My interest is gaining new skills and continued knowledge of my own Stó:lō identity. I also take an interest in sports such as baseball and volleyball and enjoy hiking and exploring the land.

My wife Frieda is a master weaver, and our daughter, Roxanne Maureen George, is a master weaver and Halq’eméylem Cultural Teacher.
