Under the general supervision of the Administrator the Accounting Clerkis responsible for providing all accounting functions for Shxw’ōwhámel First Nation.

The Accounting Clerk must comply with the Financial Administration Act, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and settlement policies and procedures.

Using the Simply Account Program, the Accounting Clerk is responsible for maintaining a computerized Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Purchasing, and any other modules in accounting that may be appropriate for Shxw’ōwhámel.

Review and analyze all data input to ensure proper coding and authorization and accuracy of all records.  Must maintain liaison with Stό:lō Tribal Council, Indian & Northern Affairs Canada, Auditor and all other agencies/businesses that Shxw’ōwhámel First Nation does business with.
